However, the reality is that many companies still conduct their research studies in a single primary language, hindered by the complexities and costs of translation.

To enable truly multilingual research, we’re today launching a new way to interview your users in whichever language they are the most comfortable with.

Create your study in any language

Use our AI-powered study builder to generate a study outline in a language you’re comfortable with speaking. Combine AI-powered open-ended questions with AI-led design tests and survey-style multiple choice and rating questions to test your hypotheses with real customers.

Participants respond in the language of their choice

Next, deploy your study to our global panel of testers, or directly in your product. Unless you specify which language you want the study to be conducted in, we’ll automatically detect which language your participants speak based on their settings. Each question in your AI-led interview will be displayed in the language that comes most naturally to your participant, as we’ll use state-of-the-art large language models that translate each question on the fly. This ensures that participants can provide genuine, authentic and unfiltered responses no matter how fluent they are in the English language, which is crucial for the integrity of your research.

Participants also have full control over which language the study is displayed in, and can change the language before they begin the interview.

Transcripts are translated back to English and analyzed with AI

Once each AI-led user interview is complete, Wondering’s AI translates the interview transcripts back to English and uses our purpose built AI analysis to help you uncover patterns and key quotes in your data. You’ll be able to see each transcript both in the language in which the interview was conducted, and the English translation. This automated translation enables anyone that speaks English to analyze and read through interviews, no matter what language the participants have responded in.
